Lately I have been hanging out in the grad area (read: basement) of my school’s library. It’s quieter and feels like people are working harder. Plus there is a qt bearded employee that makes my day a bit brighter.

WatchMy friend Adam Reid had a CD release party tonight. Two other local bands played before him (both with members named Adam) and it was one of the only “local band” shows I had been to in Tallahassee, ever. Even though I was in the back, and even though I didn’t end up with a CD (yo AR, you got any left?), I loved the music and the night. Great job Adam!

WatchTo make up for the lack of videos, here are three I took today: I’m not that big of a dog fan, but these dogs (puppies?) were so adorable, it was hard not to feel something in the cavern where a person’s heart usually is.
(also, an accidental appearance by both Andrew Bird and The Kinks, the later of whom fit perfectly with the little doggies’ pace)

WatchTo make up for the lack of videos, here are three I took today: My favorite theater in Tallahassee, Miracle 5, shows mostly independent movies (case in point: I went to see The Messenger this afternoon). It is usually pretty empty (I have never seen a theater more than a third full), and it has a sort of je ne sais quoi that makes me love it.

Baileigh and I bent some rules when it came to this game of Scrabble, but overall we kicked ass. Final scores were both in the 200’s, which is a great improvement from the last game we played, where both scores were in the 50’s (I found our previous score sheet in the box).

WatchBen and I went to see Extraordinary Measures. He is a very personable person (and is in the middle of a very intense campaign!), so he was looking for any and every reason to talk to strangers to get the vote out. Also he is very awkward on camera. Still love ‘im.

I was considering writing out an apology letter of sorts to Conan for tonight. Kind of tell him that this whole thing is pretty much my fault, because I had an 8 am class last semester and a 9 am class this semester, and I could never stay up until 12:30, and then I would sometimes forget to watch it on Hulu. Torrential downpour most of the morning around campus. By the afternoon, the flash floods and regular floods had subsided, and only normal rain was left for us Tallahassians. Also, not sure if you knew this, but most Floridians are allergic to rain! It’s true!

On campus at 8:30 in the morning, a kid was handing out flyers for “student work.” Since not many people were walking on campus at 8:30 in the morning, he had to target the bikers. They had good synergy.
